Visiting a church for the first time can be a difficult experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to come? What about the children? What can I expect? These and many other questions surface. We want you to relax and put your mind to ease about your first visit at Cornerstone. We want you to experience the inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you can feel at home! Here are some answers to common questions about your first visit:
1. What is available for children?
We have a creche for children ages two and under. For children three to twelve, there is a Junior Church service every Sunday at 11 am and a Wednesday night Kidz - Zone where the children enjoy games, singing, refreshments, and Bible stories together!
2. How will I find my way?
We are located in Ealing opposite The main Council Offices with several buses stopping nearby. The nearest train station is Ealing Broadway(Tube and Overground Stations) which is less than a 10 minute walk away. There is onsite parking available for those driving as well as a number of car parks in the town.
3. What are the services like?
Sunday mornings, you can participate in encouraging and refreshing music, as well as enjoy special music from soloists and small groups. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor John. Each service is just a little over one hour in length.
We also have a Sunday afternoon Bible study (completely different than Sunday morning) that begins at 12:25 pm. Again, in this service we sing a few songs, make a few announcements, then have a concentrated, interactive Bible study together. Wednesday evening is an in depth Bible study on particular subjects and books of the Bible. If you cannot be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you will visit with us during another service time.
4. How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Cornerstone Baptist Church for our members or guests. We have found that many of our people wear what is considered "business casual." Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday dress"; however, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable anytime you visit Cornerstone Baptist!
5. Am I expected to give in the offering?
No. We do not invite you to Cornerstone Baptist Church for your offering. We want each service to be our gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm, family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please feel no pressure or obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
